Sir Darnley's "R"
17.05.2007

Orla and her first litter, just born. The boy and the two girls are brindle like their mom.

The weights: 241gr, 216gr und 252gr.

For the first weeks our living room also is the puppies home. I sleep on the sofa during this time.

Orla's babies already have 2 godmothers: Petra Detemple (in the middle) and Nicole Meissner (left).

18.05.2007

From the beginning Orla nursed her litter completely by herself. It looks as she really is proud of her kids.

As usual the puppies need one day to settle in their new life.

19.05.2007

Already next it is calm in the whelping box. Everybody is happy and satisfied.

20.05.2007

Until now the new life just means drinking, sleeping and growing.

21.05.2007
23.05.2007

The puppies sleeping on the sofa during the whelping box is cleaned.

Orla only leaves the box when necessary.

27.05.2007

At 10 days of age every puppies weight is app. 600gr.

28.05.2007

Just feeling good!

29.05.2007

31.05.2007

Two weeks old.

The boys weight is 680gr. The girls have 674 and 716gr.

The little girl has already opened her eyes. The two others don't want to see us so far.

01.06.2007

Two puppies still don't want to see their new world while the smaller girl already is interested in everything.

02.06.2007

Now all have opened their eyes. Immediately the three start to play. Sometimes you can already hear them barking and growling softly - just sweet.

Today they also got the first worm protection - bääää!

Hello little girl.

Now I would love to watch them 24 hours a day..

03.06.2007

The first trip in the living room.

Action in the puppies box.

04.06.2007

07.06.2007

Have a break!

With 3 weeks the boy weighs 914gr and the bigger girl 920gr.

The smaller girl now has 820gr but this is normal as she is more active than the others.

09.06.2007

The smaller girl is left, the boy in middle and the bigger girl is on the right side.

Now it is getting loud. Orla often lies outside the box because the puppies are playing wild.

Soon the litter will move into their own room.
