23.11.2007 Now the puppies are 1 week of age. I am always frightened when Nellie has all 7 puppies in the whelping box. Even as she is quite careful she might by accident lay on a puppy. Therefor we decide to devide them into two sections. Here the 4 girls are drinking ...
... while the 3 boys are sleeping in the small box beside. They are changed every 60 til 90 minutes. During night it might sometimes between 2 and 3 hours.

25.11.2007 Here the boys are drinking. The little one in the middle still keeps the difference of app. 80gr. to his brothers.


26.11.2007 The boys at the age of 10 days.
27.11.2007 With 11 days the first girl starts opening her eyes already.



30.11.2007 With 2 weeks all puppies have opened their eyes. All are quiet and satisfied. But they don't put much weight on, all are still below 500gr. Today they get their first worm paste - bääääh.

03.12.2007


04. bis 07.12.2007 As the puppies are getting more alert and moving it is time to move into their own room. I try to offer some puppy milk but they don't really enjoy it.
