This year the Scottie Special was held in the East of Germany. The big show ground is located in the midst of a forest in a deer park.

"Der Possen" as this forest also is called has a great ambiance. Many Terrier people love to show here.

Most exhibitors and also visitors had quite a long drive. But it was allowed to use the show ground as a caravan site.

Unfortunately the attendancy of Scottie breeders from the East of Germany was very small.

The show was perfectly organized by Mr. Eike Helmvoigt, president of the local Terrier group Nordthüringen, and his team.

The presentation was skilfully done by Mr. Rainer Jacobs (left).

But even the mayor of Sondershausen, Mr. Joachim Kreyer (right), wanted to welcome the exhibitors personally.

The rings were lovingly decorated.

As a extra welcome for the Scottie Special the local Terrier group invited a piper who provided the right spirit.

The Scottish Terrier Förderverein (Scottish Terrier Supporters Association) was co-organizer of this Scottie Special. The Club table was attended by Klaus Driesch who also was able to welcome several new members.

The new acitivities done since the beginning of this year helped our association growing. Coming from about 25 members, in the meantime nearly 100 Scottie enthusiasts participate.

On the right is our "donation-Scottie", built and founded by Hermann Vehreschild!

After the show we had a well attended Scottie evening.

The organisation was not yet perfect so it was not as comfortable as originally thought. But we are still learning and have many ideas for improving events in the future.

Our breeds representative, Dr. Hans-Peter Clieves, was the steward in the Scottie ring. Here still quite relaxed before judging started. :-)

The Scotties were judged by Kari Järvinen from Finland. He was elected by the breeders on their meeting in January and luckily he was able to come.

Karis wife Raija Järvinen bred Scottish Terriers from the 70ties until she unfortunately died in 2004. Dogs with her kennel name "Raijaj" are in the pedigrees around the world. A list of successful dogs of this breeding is on www.raijaj.com.

Asked for the most successful Raijaj Scottie, Kari Järvinen named: "Multi Ch. Raijaj Yves St Laurent".

After judging Kari Järvinen stated that some of the dogs shown to him that day reminded him on Raijaj Scotties.
