Now I continue after a longer break!

Everything is fine here. Sometimes other interests are in the focus.

Here are 2 actual pictures from Ch. Sir Darnley's Qubic Q. The photo "Q in the Q" I wanted to take for a long time. I often pass the building with this big Q in front and I always wanted to take a picture with Q sitting inside. Now I managed to do that.

Tasty's son Sir Darnley's Volcano Vance developed really well. I the meantime he moved to his new family in Gladbeck. Now I am working on all his pictures that should go online within the next days.

After that I will publish the show results we gained in 2012 so far.

Some main dog events will happen within the next 10 days:

11.05.2012 VDH National Show in Dortmund with British Festival, 35 Scotties entered.

13.05.2012 VDH European Winner Show in Dortmund, 41 Scotties entered.

18.05.2012 FCI World Dog Show in Salzburg (A), 108 Scotties entered.

Our Tasty got her first puppy!

On 18.01.2012 Ch. Sir Darnley's Talisker Taste gave birth to this lovely single puppy, a black male.
Sire is Ch. Ramirez Euri Escot (B+O: Fam. Stetinova, CZ). Beside his attractive apperance he gave his interesting pedigree to this combination.

Mother and son are doing very well. Right from the beginning Tasty is a perfect mom.

The Show calendar 2012 is online!

Today our Q celebrates his 5th. birthday!

Ch. Sir Darnley's Qubic Q
S: Ch. Lucia's Dream Scandalizer
M: Ch. Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession

Q is the good-mood-Scottie in our family. He is absolutely sure to be the best and most beautiful Scot on earth. And this is what he is telling everybody, no matter if you want to hear it or not.

Consequently Q loves to present himself on shows. His career in the ring is outstanding. Until now he collected e.g. more than 20 titles international and was app. 30 x Best of Breed. Although in recent years he was shown almost exculsively on the big shows or abroad.

As far as I know Q is the only German bred Scottish Terrier that has won a Res. CC on CRUFTS so far.

The pictures around show Q's development until today.

Also in breeding Q has been proven. The pictures below show two daughters from France and Germany.

10.03.2011 (translated in April)

Ruby's puppies are developing really very nice. They are now 5 weeks of age and the small girl has catched up a lot. 10 days ago they moved from the living room to their own puppy room. When it was warm and sunny, they also visited the garden for a short time. Aunt Tasty now sometimes plays with the puppies. Mom Ruby allowed it.

Here are some new pictures:

The male is the fastest in the litter. He easily runs also on the slippery wooden floor in the living room. His weight is 1330gr.

The bigger female is only a little behind her brother: 1280gr. She is not yet as fast as her brother but she always manages to be in front in the end.

She absolutely is no longer a "problem child"! She is smart and gets her own way agains her brother and sister. She now weighs already 1120gr.

14.02.2011 (translated in April)

Good news from Ruby's puppies:

Now we are optimistic that also the little girl will survive. For two weeks there were ups and downs every day. But since yesterday evening everything works like it should do.

Now she is able to drink bigger amounts of milk - and she also wants it. The digestion works, no more stomach ache and she can hold her temperature herself. Now she starts to catch up. Today the little girl weighs 310gr while her brother and sister nearly got 600gr.

We are very, very very happy and I am looking forward to have the opportunity to sleep longer than 2 hours.:-)

08.02.2011

Our Ch. Sir Darnley's Rambling Ruby gave birth to her first litter already on 31.01.2011. It also is the first offspring for the sire J. Ch. Dundee So Classic (Owner: Mareike Ahrens + Angelika Osmers).

We are very proud of our Ruby, she is a perfect mom. She has 1 male and 2 bitch puppies, all black. One girl is very tiny and we are still fighting for her. All others are fit and well.

A happy and healthy new year!

Best wishes to all Scottie fans!

Here we go again. 2010 was a great year for us, even though we had no puppies. A summary of our highlights will follow soon. :-)

I hope to have more time for the website in 2011.

Q in the snow

20.10.2010

We had a wonderful holiday in Denmark. But as we had only one week this time, we just had to enjoy every minute as intensive as possible: The salty fresh air, the beach, the North Sea.

Meanwhile we are back to normal life but everything seams to be a bit easier.

Now I am busy to catch up the huge backlog of my website.

12 years ago our "L"-litter" was born.

Representatively here are two photos from Sir Darnley's Limelight Laura, Owners: Nicole + Horst Reifert.

19.07.2010

Yes - Rainer and I got married!
Many thanks to our friends and family for their great ideas and big surprised, they arranged for us. The 30.04.2010 was a real unforgettable and perfect day!!!

House Katz in Jüchen, a village close to Grevenbroich.

In Jüchen Rainer and I have met for the first time - 11 years ago.

Befor - serious faces.

The groom has arrived already - but will the bride appear also??

Of course - the bride is late. This is quite common in Germany - and even more when the bride is Maren Bichel.

It was a wonderful impressive ceremony, accompanied by Q who barked most of the time. He did not agree that this time he was not in the center of action. Already in the morning all our dogs had the premonition that something very special would going to happen. Well - they were right and we were very happy that the Scotties were allowed to stay with us during the ceremony.

Afterwards our friends had arranged a lot of surprises for us: A guard of honour with hand made and real Scotties - and at the end Gerda van Stuivenberg and Magic were waiting for us!

Everybody who know Rainer and me for some years can imagine, how much we desired that Magic could come back to us. A great THÀNK YOU to Gerda and Bert van Stuivenberg and of course to Marianne Roos for this very special surprise!

Then we were asked to pass the first exercise as a married couple: It is a tradition that the couple should saw up a tree trunk to prove they can work together in harmony. Well - I think we showed a real good teamwork even though the tree trunk was quite wet. A piper (another surprise arranged by our friends) accompanied us with traditional music.

After having a sparkling wine reception the wedding party left Jüchen and drove to Rommerskirchen, where we had a wonderful celebration - the whole works: My fathers speech, a huge wedding cake created by Rainers brother Dieter and some other lovely surprises.

In the end DJ Björn even found a waltz for our first dance.

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed eyery minute of our great day!
