KFT German Club Winner show,  31.08.2008

entered Scotties: 18, missing 2

Judge: Suzanna Petik (H)

For the last few year the Terrier Club Winner Show is held in Bensheim, a bit south from Frankfurt.

This time Suzanna Petik from Hungary, an internatinal known judge,  was invited to judge the Scotties.

It is a pity that just 18 Scotties were entered for the annual title show of our Club. A surprisingly low entry considering that this year around 200 Scotties were already shown in Germany and that 34 different Scotties were best of breed until now.

A few year ago an exhibitor commented about a similar situation like this: "You only could win if you show. If you don't appear you can never win."

Sir Darnley’s Qubic Q, best of breed on our Club Winner Show 2008.

Here I am totally happy after the judging but also- as usual - soaked with sweat. I need a towel!

In the afternoon in the main ring:

Sir Darnley's Rambling Ruby went

Best Youth in Show!

There were app. 40 junior dogs in the ring.

After that the Best in Show competition starts. Sir Darnley's Qubic Q was among the 3 best low legged Terriers and actually he should have competed for BIS.

But this was too much for him. I was a hot day, in the end he had a "bad belly" and he was completely exhausted. So I decided to withdraw him from the last competition as there is no sence in showing a dog that does not feel well.

On our way home he settled and slept the whole evening. But already on Monday he was fit and well again.
