Alex von der Leinemasch

14.05.1984 - November 1995

Everything started with him! He was a real gentleman! Darnley was named (very decent) after a Scottish king and even my father told him “The Sir”. That was how my kennel name came about.

We were a team, inseparable and fixed on each other. Because of the new responsibility for another creature, Darnley was the basic for a new and more confident life.

Actually I only wanted to show him once.

I will never forget when the judge, Mrs. Martha Heine, told me on our first show: “Today I will give him an excellent 1 and the youth ticket. But please don’t think, this will be always the case!”

This was enough to infect us with the show virus! What followed was an outstanding show career for us greenhorns

In the end Darnley has visited more than 150 shows and was 40 x BOB, several times best low legged Terrier and winner of the Terrier group. He had his biggest success in Valkenburg (NL) 1985, where he was best Terrier and 3rd. in Show.

Darnley’s most successful offspring were Ch. + World youth winner Sir Darnley’s April Joke and Ch. + World youth winner Sir Darnley’s Busy Buzzy.
