Sir Darnley's annual review 2004

At the beginning of the new year it is time for a review.

At the years end and between all the success we had to take care of two "problem children":

Sadly we had to say good bye to the leader of our Scottie family and a very special friend.  Multi Ch. Sir Darnley's Gretna Green died on 02.12.04 at the age of 12,5 years. For us it was quite unexpected because she was totally fit until a week before she died. A mercy for her that she did not had to suffer.

We will never forget this great Scottie character!

Multi Ch. Sir Darnley's Gretna Green

Here Sir Darnley's Kilted Kate again is looking quite saucy. We have her into care since November. That time she was more dead than alive! In the meantime she has put on aound 1,5KG weight and we at least hope that she will recover completely.

Among other problems she fights against an inflammation of the underjaw. A brave girl!

In 2004 there was no litter born in our house. But our "O-sister" (born in November 2003) grew up in spring.

Maybe some Scottie friends already know Orla und Olivia .

Anyway we are really looking forward how their show carrier will develop!

Last year we have visited more shows than usual. But there have never been so many Sir Darnley's shown successfully as 2004. In 2003 Ch. Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer was the shooting star in our show team. Now it is his whole generation - consisting of all 3 litters out of Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie!

The Highlights:

Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie

herself.

Best of breed on the German Scottie-Special from 68 Scotties were entered for judge and breed specialist Avril Herd (Kennel Feregait, Scotland).

Not to forget the two other successful litter sisters: Sir Darnley's Native Nugget (Owner: Gerda van Stuivenberg) and Sir Darnley's Nifty Nessie (Owner: Ursula Grochau).

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

went the Debs Cup Winner, best of breed and best in show OG Limburg.

The great final of the 2004 season was the CACIB show in Kassel. Here Orla went best of breed, 2nd, in Terrier group and BEST YOUTH ALL BREEDS!

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession

until now was only shown twice in Youth class: She went best female on the show  OG Bad Aachen and next time best of breed, 4th. in show and best Youth in show in Münster.

Also this picture is another highlight from 2004. It was taken on the the Terrier show in Düren. Here are presented 3 generations of my kennel!

Far left Multi Ch. Sir Darnley's Gretna Green (F: Ch. Pendlehill Magnus, M: Sir Darnley's Bumble Bee), sitting next to her daughter Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie (F: Ch. Raglan Ringmaster) and next to her 7 of her off spring out of 3 litters: Ch. Magical Mascot (Owner. Marianne Roos-Otten), the Youth Champions Nosy Nellie and Noble Nicolson (Owner: Helma van Wieringen), Orla Online Oasis, Ch. Mylord Mortimer (Owner: Helma van Wieringen), Olivia Offbeat Obsession and Mayson Montgomery (Owner: Fam. Horn).

Sorry for all this enthusiasm! But for us 2004 was quite a succsessful year and of course I am very proud of our Scottie family.

Again, special thanks for all the help go to Helma van Wieringen, Rolf Conrads and of course to Rainer. Without you this success would not have been possible!

=>Here<= you find a chronic of all shows that we have visited in 2004 and =>here<= are all results according to each dog.

There are several show visits planned for 2005. We will already start at the end of January!

We also hope for our next litter probably the second half of the year. Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie should then present our 5th generation.

To all Scottiefans I would like to wish heath and a lot of success in 2005 and of course lots of fun with my homepage!
