Now finally I can continue here

As it still is quite hard to sit on the computer for a longer time, I had to abstain for a while. All the more I am really happy about the very high amount of visitors, looking out for news about my Scottie gang.

With the help of Rainer, Helma van Wieringen and Rolf Conrads I was already able to visite 2 dog shows in the meantime:

Klubsieger (Club Winner) 2004 in Bensheim

Being one of the three "title shows" in Germany, Mr. Walter Berghäuser had to judge an astonishing low entry of 29 Scotties. Congratulations to the winners.

=>Here<= are the complete Scottie results. Unfortunately this time there was no time for pictures.

Terrierschau OG Mittellahn-Limburg

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

in Limburg went best of breed under Magret Möller-Sieber and later in the big ring Hans-Ehrhard Grüttner even picked her for best in schow!

Her older brother Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot (Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten) also went best opposite sex!

As Rainer had to help a lot, there only are some pictures from Orla in the big ring. But as they are quite pretty, I have just included them between the Scottie results, that are to find =>here<=.

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis - not even 10 months of age!

01.08.2004

Hello, here I am again!

After I had to visite a hospital for a surgery, there was a big "hello" when I came back 2 days ago.

Luckily, everything went well. Of course I am not as fit as on this picture which was taken during our holiday. But I am sure, it will be better every day.

16.07.2004

This is a proud for a breeder:

During the show last weekend in Hellenthal we had a meeting of the Sir Darnley's kennel and of course we took a lot of pictures. For a small breeder like me this view is a special honour!

Here we present 3 generations Sir Darnley's!

Multi Ch. Sir Darnley's Gretna Green (by: Ch. Pendlehill Magnus, out of: Sir Darnley's Bumble Bee) is sitting on the left side, further right her daughter Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie (by: Ch. Raglan Ringmaster) and right from her, 7 puppies out of her 3 litters: Magical Mascot (Owner Marianne Roos-Otten), the Junior Champions Nosy Nellie and Noble Nicolson (Owner Helma van Wieringen), Orla Online Oasis, Ch. Mylord Mortimer (Owner Helma van Wieringen), Olivia Offbeat Obsession and Mayson Montgomery (Owner Fam. Horn).

Father of Nick and Nellie is From Dash Mountain Farm's Chuck and father of the other 5 is Ch. From Dash Mountain Farm's Merlin. Both combinations - as one can see - were realy great!

All dogs on the picture who have been shown in competition, at least were best of breed: Gretna, Kylie, Mortimer, Magic, Nick and Nellie. Orla and Olivia are still too young and Montgomery has not yet been shown.

Some more picture are to find =>here<=.

11.07.2004

Terrier show OG Düren Rurtal 10.07.2004 in Hellenthal

Judge Torsten Himmrich had a lot of work: with 25 dogs the Scotties had the highest entry of the show!

KFT-Jgd. Ch., Lux-Jgd. Ch., Europajugendsieger '04

Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie

For the first time out in breeders class Nellie went best of breed and best low legged Terrier!!!

Of course we are very proud of our little show girl!

From Dash Mountain Farm's Jolly Jock, son of Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot, won the youth class and also went best youth in show!

Congratulations to his breeder and owner Gerda van Stuivenberg-Bulters from the Netherlands.

The complete Scottie results and more pictures are to find =>here<=.

Afterwards we had a big fotosession. First of all here are the pictures of our puppies:

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis ...

... and Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession.

Again it was a wonderful show day and also a real Sir Darnley's meeting.

Alltogether there were 10 Scotties out of my breeding attended and I specially was very happy to have met again Montgomery and his owners. More pictures about this meeting will be online within the next days.

24.06.2004

Finally the results and the report about our Terrier show from 06.06.04 are ready!

My pages are online since the end of August 2003 and there were already more than 10.000 visitors!!!!

I am delighted about this ongoing interest and hope that my visitors keep feeling comfortable on my site!

... and I am working at the pictures!

20.06.2004

Hello, here we are again!

We are back from a one week holiday to the Danish westcoast! Within the last weeks we were really looking forward to this break and we enjoyed it very much!

And as there now is another holiday week at home, I can powerful work on my homepage. Tomorrow I will complete the results of our show from 06.06.04 and then the hollday story with many pictures will follow.

Here Orla is sitting in the sand dunes and is amazed about the North Sea.

11.06.2004

First of all here is a picture of our judges in action: Frau Vogel, Frau Vogt and Mr. Browne-Cole.

Sorry - there is nothing more until now!

I have to take a break for a week! But next weekend there will be all results from the big ring, many pictures and a full report about our show on the page.

02.06.2004

We have a visitor:

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession is here for 2 days. For trimming and just for fun.

On the table she is already behaving like a professional

Together with her sisters Orla and Nellie she moves the furniture!

Unfortunately today they can only play inside because it is raining cats and dogs!

25.05.2004

Many thanks to Nicole, who has made many pictures from Orla in the Ring in Düsseldorf.

=>Here<=  I have made a small story.

23.05.2004

Terrier show OG Düsseldorf 22.05.2004

Judge: Elly Weijenborg (NL)

We celebrate a new German Champion!!!

Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer

Yesterday he won the res. CAC and completed the year which has to be between the first and the last ticket.

Congratulations to the Netherlands, to his owners Helma van Wieringen and Rolf Conrads! We are very proud for this pretty boy!

Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson

For the first time he was shown by his owner Helma van Wieringen. Both did a great job and have won the youth class at first go!

Well done Helma!

His sister

Sir Darnley's Native Nugget

Nick's sister was shown by her owner Gerda van Stuivenberg in the open class - and won her first CAC!

Another congratulation goes to the Netherlands!

Magic's son

From Dash Mountain Farm's Jolly Jock

showed already experienced with his breeder and owner Gerda van Stuivenberg in the dogs puppy class and received a "very promising".

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

Our little Orla debuted juvenile and powerful.

She won the female puppy.

Also in Junior handling the Sir Darnley's were successful:

Katrin Grochau has done a good job with   Sir Darnley's Nifty Nessie and won her age group!

We all enjoyed a wonderful day at the show and were very happy about our good results!

Again congratulations to the Netherlands to the owners of the best of breed Ch. Henry of Salt and Pepper, Dit Koelewijn and Marianne Roos-Otten, and also to the owners of the best female My Charme Rascal Aberdeen Lady, Karin van Wijngeeren.

There are 16 Scotties entered for the Terrier show of the local group of Düsseldorf on Saturday (22.05.04). On their homepage are more informations about this show =>click here<= .

There will also be shown some Sir Darnley's. Our Orla will debut in puppy class.

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

14.05.2004

Exactly 20 years ago Multi Ch. Alex von der Leinemasch, called „Darnley“, was born!

Darnley and Downtown Shirley Shamrock, who came to us 2 years later, are the foundation of my breeding. All Sir Darnley’s that are shown at the moment are carrying  them in the 4th. generation of their pedigree.

Darnley was my first dog, my confidant with wonderful nature and I was allowed to spend more than 11 years together with him.

He has changed my life completely – to be responsible caused self assurance. He was an absolute nobel character – a real “Sir”!

In 1985 I started showing Darnley. The kennel name “von der Leinemasch” was completely unknown and also the (at that time still) young girl at the other side of the lead was also not seen before.

But with the perfect trimming from Bärbel Bruweleit, some good tips, by keeping an eye on other exhibitors, surely also some talent and first of all Darnley's promising anatomy, we had quite a remarkable first show season.

Within the first year Darnley gained the KFT Junior Champion title, went several times BOB and in November he was best Terrier and 3rd. Best in Show in Valkenburg (NL).

And I am really happy that specially Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot inherits alot of Darnley's characteristics. Of course Magic has more temperament but the expression and the way to move is very similar to Darnley.

I am very thankful for the great luck we had right from the beginning.

More pictures from Darnley, his Pedigree and further successes are to be find =>here<= on his page at my Scotties.

10.05.2004

VDH Europasieger Show in Dortmund 09.05.2004

We had famous visitors ...

GB Ch. So What Excalibur from Sweden came, saw and won!

Last year in England he was shown extremely successful by Susan Gaskell (Mayson Kennel). Now he came to Dortmund together with his breeder and owner Cindy Pettersson.

He gained the European Winner title and went best of breed. And I believe everybody was impressed about this lovely dog!

Afterwards our judge Frau Dr. Frauke Hinsch told me that she was quite impressed about the quality of the entered Scotties which was above the averige.

And we were not that far behind:

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot (Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten)

won the Open Class, Res. CAC/CACIB and is now Vice-European Winner!

Our Youth was as well successful:

Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson (Owner. Helma van Wieringen)

won the Male Youth Class and went  European Youth Winner!

Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie won the Female Youth Class and went European Youth Winner as well!

As always the complete Results are to be find =>here<=.

I also would like to thank everybody for the congratulations. I really was very pleased and very proud!

01.05.2004

Terrier show OG Mannheim-Ludwigshafen

... again a successful day for the Sir Darnley's:

We proudly present our new KFT-Jugend Champion:

On the first open air show in the year Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie gets her 4th. youth ticket from judge Walter Berghäuser and she also went best opposite sex!

And furthermore:

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot (Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten) continues the story of success of "our boys". He also wins the ticket and went best of breed!

The complete Scottie results are to find =>here<=.

Update 02.05.2004: Many thanks to Petra Hofmann and Bert van Stuivenberg for the additional pictures. Of course I have added them immediately!

... but this was not all:

From Dash Mountain Farm's Jolly Jock, a son of Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot, had his debut in the Netherlands and went  best puppy in show!

Congratulations to breeder and owner Gerda van Stuivenberg (NL)!

28.04.2004

Today Olivia (in front) will move to the family of my friend Gaby M. who already is the owner of Sir Darnley's Liquorice Leroy. Olivia will live there but will stay in our ownership. And of course she will visite us very often.

=>Here<= I have added some actual pictures.

Now the O-litter is included in the Chronicle, where I have also made some small changes to make the navigation easier.

24.04.2004

Once again: The 2 brothers take turns in winning! ;-)

Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer

Our judge Frauke Korte was specially impresses by Mortimers type and expression.

Of course we are incredibly proud of the brothers Mortimer and Magic!!!

By this way we would like to thank both, the owners of the dogs Helma van Wieringen and Marianne Roos-Otten, and also the judges who enables their lovely success!!

The complete results from Lingen are to find =>here<=.

11.04.2004

Happy Easter from the Sir Darnley's to all scottie friends!

The small almond tree in front of my house is full of blossoms.

The name plate was a gift from friends.

We really enjoy some quiet days - just lovely!

Here Nellie is sitting in the garden and takes a rest after the wild playings with her younger sisters.

=>Here<= are some pictures of that.

The show results of this year are now altogether found on top of this page. Just click on the link.

06.04.2004

A weekend without a dog show sometimes also is nice ...

It is relaxing and there is i. e. time for a meeting of a very nice forum of digicam users: www.penum.de (sorry only in German language) We met in Xanten that originally was a roman  colony more than 2000 years ago!

And now finally  =>here<= are some new pictures of our O-sisters!

(that is why it took a bit longer this time ;-))

Sir Darnley’s Nosy Nellie gained the Luxembourg Youth Champion which was the only title for German Scotties that day

Ch. Sir Darnley’s Kiss-Curl Kylie was back to the show ring after her last litter. With enthusiasm she was barking through the ring ;-)

At the age of nearly 7 years she went V2 and gained the Lux. reserve ticket.

The competition was quite international. There were Scotties from 9 countries entered. As usual, the complete results and some pictures are found =>here<=.
In the meantime Olwen Olivia and Orla are fully integrated into the pack. By the end of the week Olwen will move to her new family where she will find a new pack with a Westi and a Dachs Hound.

The foundation bitch of my kennel: Multi Ch. and Multi best in show winner Downtown Shirley Shamrock was born on the 16th. of March 1986, exactly 18 years ago!

Shirley was not only a wonderful Scottie lady and mother. She also was one of the most successful Scotties in Europe for several years.

Shirley grew more than 14 years old.

Again by this way I want to thank Shirley's breeder Bärbel Bruweleit for this wonderful character!

I have added some pictures to Shirley's Gallery.

06.03.2004

=>Here<= are some of the snow last week.

Further puppy pictures will follow tomorrow.

29.02.2004

Yesterday we visited the Terrier show of the local Terrier group OG Terrierfreunde Kamen-Heeren.

Mrs von Kralik had to judge 16 Scotties.

Congratulations to the winner.

The complete Scottie results are to find  =>here<=.

Breeder and owner are both looking critical. Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson is being prepaired. In the ring he went V1 and Jgd. CAC

25.02.2004

Finally =>here<= are some new pictures of our puppies - well they are already 3,5 months old!

There are 21 Scotties entered for the Terrier show in Schwerte. They will be judged at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

22.02.2004

International show in Gent (B), Judge: Mr. W. Browne-Cole (GB)

And again: it was a looong day! The Scotties entered the ring not before 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

Magic get's more and more used to it! ;-))

... But in the ring he is wide awake!

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot (owner: Marianne Roos-Otten) again is best of breed!

At his debut in the big ring of an international show (judge: M. v.d. Weijer) he is picked among the 8 best Terriers - well done!!!

=>Here<= are the complete results.

21.02.2004

Here are some impressions from the ring side at the Terrier show last Sunday:

It was a long day - a lot of time for nice talks!

Critical views!

Best of breed: Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot  Everything were dokumented by Rolf with Helma's new cam Canon A80!
And of course Olwen, Olivia and Orla are still active the whole day long. Here they have just stolen a hand brush. Further pictures will follow next week.

This is one of the first pictures taken by my new digicam, a Panasonic FZ10. Faster and with more zoom as my small Sony.

Of course I wanted to test with my Quarterhorse mare if this new cam is realy fast enough.

But after riding Queeny wasn't in the mood for running. So she prefered to roll herself on the big paddock ...

... and made my exhausting cleaning undone! Well, the main thing is that she's feeling well!

Tomorrow we are with Magic on the international show in Gent. So please cross your fingers for us as it is generally known to be difficult to win in Belgium.

The results will be posted here as soon as possible.

15.02.2004

Show weekend in Haan-Hochdahl

Saturday 14.02.2004, OG Kreis Mettmann

Finnish judges are known as severe judges. But Harry Tast had a completely different oppinion about Scotties than the exhibitors of this show.Even the owner of the best opposite sex felt awful about the result because her young bitch didn't show at all. So there were several discussions around the ring - not only among the scottie people. After all Harry Tast managed to pick a very nice best of breed that represented the Scottish Terrier in the big ring worthy.

The complete results of the Scotties are =>here<=

Best of bree OG Mettmann: Ashgate Tree Penny Moon

Katrin Grochau had her debut with Sir Darnley's Nifty Nessie. Together they have won the Junior handling both days - well done!

Sonntag 15.02.2004 OG Ratingen

On the second show at the same location Herr Rainer Jacobs was judging the Scotties and compensated us for the Saturday.

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot (Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten) was best of breed and Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie was best opposote sex!

=>Here<= are the complete results.

Some new pictures from the  "O-Sisters" are found =>here<=.

The show calendar has also been updated.

01.02.2004

Far overdue: =>Here<= are new pictures of our Scottie babies!
On 31.01.04 we started the new show season in Eindhoven (NL). Mr. Thorn was not able to come because of the snow. So a gundog specialist from Portugal was judging.

He said that Magic has too small ears  ... hmm ;-)

As you can see: Nellie takes it easy.

=>Here<= are the complete results.

26.01.2004

Today there is just one new picture - at the moment there is no time left.

There will be more pictures within the next days!

18.01.2004

Now the puppies are nearly 10 weeks old. I would like to follow them with the camera all the time. =>Here<= are some new pictures.

Our puppies are now 7 weeks of age and I could follow them with my digicam all the time. =>Here<= are some new pictures.

29.12.2003

No, this is not our christmas tree, it is not that elegant in my house ;-) This is my parents christmas tree, as usual with "real" candles, old and new figures and nice sweets.

A tree like this would not have a chance in our house at the moment. The puppies are 7 weeks now and they already infest the whole house. This is a lovely age and I always follow them with my digicam. So =>here<= are some new pictures in their gallery.

25.12.2003

Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2004 from the Sir Darnley's to all our friends and Scottielovers!

Of course =>here<= are some new pictures from our 4 little girls.

19.12.2003

=>Here<= are some additional pictures of the puppies from the beginning of the week, which were taken by Rainer with his analog camera and also a few from today.

Slowly it is getting more Christmassy. The first presents were already found, much loved old musik is heard (Christmas Oratorio and Messiah) but still there nearly is no decoration in the house. Well, there are some days left...

15.12.2003

As I know that many visitors are always waiting for it: =>here<= are some new pictures from our litter from the last weekend.

I am very proud for the positiv feetback, which is always a big motivation to update this site as often as possible.

Today the show calendar has also been refreshed.

Successful on the Terrier show in Wesel 23.11.2003

Unfortunately my favourite Sir Darnley’s Magical Mascot (owner: Marianne Roos-Otten) did not like to move. He is used to do have a “warm up training” in the hall but that was not possible. Consequentially he got an Ex. 2 and the reserve ticket.

But therefore his young brother and sisters went out of their way:

Sir Darnley’s Noble Nicolson (owner: Helma van Wieringen) has won the male youth class and went best dog and best of breed!

In the youth class bitches we have celebrated a double win: Sir Darnley’s Nosy Nellie (my own) won in front of her sister Sir Darnley’s Native Nugget (owner: Gerda van Stuivenberg). Nellie also was best opposite sex!

 =>here<= are the complete results

Our Youngsters from left to right: Nellie, Nick and Nugget

Our 4 small girls also develop nicely. At the moment we are awaiting them to open their eyes and ears. There are 2 new pictures in the gallery =>here<=.

16.11.2003

Again new pictures of the girls

=>here<=

I have just added them to the old file. All babies are developing great!

Also the showcalendar has been updated. The already known national shows were added.

Wow - more than 3000 visites! I am very happy for your interest all over the world!

Many thanks ;-)

13.11.2003

The babies at the age of 3 days, all together because mom is just having a meal.

I'll bet you can see every puppy! But from the smallest girl just one ear ;-)

Sir Darnley's proudly presents:

Kylie and Merlin got 4 bouncing girls yesterday evening!

Terrier show OG Bad Aachen in Jülich

Two amazing boys entering the stage:

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot

Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten (Gulabin's, NL)

Exactly one year ago Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer started his remarkable show career here in Jülich and was best of breed at the first time in the show ring.

Today Magic, who is visiting us just since a few weeks, followed his brother. On his first show in Jülich he went best of breed and also best low legged Terrier!

Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson

Owner: Helma van Wieringen (NL)

Nick, half brother of both, was shown in youth class for the first time - and gained the youth ticket!

Many thanks to Nick's Owners, Helma and Rolf, for their engaged support and of course to Rainer who has in the meantime watched over Kylie. She is awaiting her last litter within the next days.

=>here<= are the complete Scottie results from  Aachen

03.11.2003

I was digging in my pictures and found some nice fotos for the "M" litter.

=>here<=

Now Mother Kylie has to carry heavily on the brothers and sisters of this 3 boys and we are anxious what she is "breeding" this time.

28.10.2003

Here is a new picture from Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot (Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten, NL).

He is visiting us at the moment and has been integrated into the Scottie family easily. He is very busy trained for his first show debut.

25.10.2003

The gallery of our holiday 1999 has been finished. You can find it in chapter "The Sir Darnley's" or =>here<=!

Furthermore the show calender has been updated.  I have compiled all show dates for 2004 that I already know.

19.10.2003

It was surprising that on the "Bundessieger" show yesterday only 30 Scotties were entered.

=>Here<= are the results and also a few pictures. Congratulation to the winners!

Of course we would have liked to win again this time ;-) but even though it was a very nice day!

17.10.2003

Jippiiiie, already 2000 visits within only 8 weeks being online! For this success my webmaster Horst, his girlfriend Nicole and I had to clink glasses today! Thank you very much for the nice evening.

And of course many thanks to you to trust in my site! Like this it is a great pleasure update the homepage regularly. Please continue!

Maybe we meet tomorrow in Dortmund?

15.10.2003

Today the show calendar has been updated.

And also the section "Holidays" in the menue "The Sir Darnley's" has been translated. There are some nice pictures!

12.10.2003

Now it's sure: We are expecting puppies!!!

Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie will have her last litter from Ch. From Dash Mountain Farm's Merlin at the beginning of November.

This picture was taken in the garden of family Luig, Merlin's owners. In the meantime Kylie already carries a small "ball-belly". Mortimer, Magic und Montgomery are looking forward to their small brothers and sisters - and of course we do as well!

Oh dear, this will be the "O" litter in my kennel. It will be very difficult to find some nice names. If you have got an idea, please send me an email. Here are the criteria: It should be a double name and both names should start with an "O". They have to be in English and together they should not be longer than 15 letter.

Have fun! I am looking forward to your proposal.

10.10.2003

Sad news this time: last Tuesday Multi Ch. Sir Darnley's Ebon Eagle had to be put to sleep at the age of nearly 12 years.

Together with his owner Michaela Amrath we are mourning for this wonderful charakter. He always loved to cuddle but also had the typical Scottie "pighead".He always was a happy showdog and we could celebrate quite some great success together. Before Mortimer, he was the most successful male out of my breeding.

More pictures from Eagle are found in the  chronicle =>here<=.

05.10.2003

Welcome our visitor:

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot owned by Marianne Roos-Otten (Gulabin's, NL) will stay with us for a while to be shown in Germany. This has already been planned for a long time, now he has arrived!

Immediately Magic was intetrated to the family. Specially Nellie is happy with her new play-mate.

In November Magic's litter brother Mortimer will stop showing for some months and I really look forward to see, if Magic will have the same fun to present himself in the showring.

After our show in Ettelbrück Andreas Luig has made some lovely pictures from Mortimer, Nick and Nellie gemacht. Many thanks to him!

=>here<= they can already be seen. In some days they will also be integrated into "my Scotties" and "Chronic".

On 06.09. we visited CACIB Ausstellung in Luxembourg where John Gaskell (Mayson) had to judge 42 Scotties

Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer was Ex.2 with Res. CACL in the Intermediate class and his grandma Sir Darnley's Gretna Green was Ex.1 in Veteran class.

CACIB for the dogs went to Ch. Lucia's Dream Shockproof who also went BOB.  Ch. Scottish Impress Knockout gained the Res. CACIB.

Ch. Verascott Power of Love received the CACIB for the bitches, the Reserve went to Respect Quirina. Best bitch was Pointchester Kytemark out of Youth class.

After the judging I had time for a small ring training with Mortimers and Nicks owner Helma. Eventually she should be able to show her boys on her own ;-))

Here is the result!

On 07.09.03 Sir Darnley's Native Nugget had her Show debut in Rheine. Whe received a "very promising" in puppy class from judge Walter Berghäuser. And together with her friend Ashgate Threepenny Moon she went best couple later on. Congratulations to her owner Gerda van Stuivenberg (Kennel from Dash Mountain Farm's)

Many Thanks to Horst Reifert for his professional help with the layout and to Rainer for his understanding when I again have spent half the weekend on the computer!
