Of course I am very happy and also proud of the big interest from all over the world!

Thank YOU so much!

Tomorrow we will travel to the east of Germany to visite a double show in Erfurt. After that we will take a small break from shows because of a different event.

We will report on this shortly.

Jgd. Ch. Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie

28.03.2005

Happy Easter from the Sir Darnley's!

International show in Luxembourg, 27.03.2005

May be Easter was the reason that there were 20 Scotties entered less than last year. So 43 dogs were entered for judge Elsbeth Clerc (Kennel Rannoch, CH).

As some well known breeders from Europe were missing, this time Russia was well represented by several breeders who were rewarded for their long journey.

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession

This time Olivia was the most successful of our team. She won the intermediate class with CAC got the Res. CACIB.

But also all other Sir Darnley's were very well placed. The complete Scottie results with some pictures are to find  =>here<=.

20.03.2005

Terrier show OG Mönchengladbach, 20.03.2005

and again ...

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

with a great start into the spring!

On her 3rd. show this year Orla is best of breed for the 3rd. time in a row!

Ch. Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot

Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten

Magic completes the success and is best male!

Many thanks to Ute Luig for her help in handling and to Andreas Luig for all the pictures! This time we managed to show at least one foto of every Scottie in the ring.

They are to find =>here<= together with the complete Scottie results.

10.03.2005

Terrier show OG Kamen-Heeren, 05.03.2005

They did it again ...

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

For the first time shown in open class, Orla won the CAC, went best of breed and best low legged Terrier!

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession

Her sister Olivia won the youth class and won the youth CAC.

Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson

Owner.: Helma van Wieringen

Nick already won his 4th. CAC.

So for us it was a perfect show!

Many thanks to Rolf Conrads for all the pictures. The best are shown =>here<= together with the complete Scottie results!

Further lovely news from last weekend:

Gerda van Stuivenberg (Kennel "From Dash Mountain Farm's, NL) was successful with her Scotties and Westies on the double show in Munich!

Sir Darnley's Native Nugget "Esprit"

On Saturday Esprit got Res. CAC and Res. CACIB. On Sunday she gained the CAC and went best female and best of breed!

Sir Darnley's Native Nugget

From Dash Mountain Farm's Jolly Jock, son of  Ch. Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot, on Sunday also got the CAC and went best male!

Congratulations to Gerda van Stuivenberg, Netherlands.

Our Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie has a total offspring of 12 puppies. Together with Esprit there are now 7 of them who at least went best of breed until now - what a result!

Report from a successful show weekend:

Terrier show OG Mettmann, 26.02.2005

First off all the judges were changed: As Mrs. Radnetter had to reject because off illness just the day before the show, Mrs. Würgatsch replaced her. All entered 15 Scotties were in the ring.

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession

Out of youth class Olivia went best of breed and in the big ring she was among the 4 best low legged Terriers.

Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson

gained the CAC and went best male

Congratulations to his owner Helma van Wieringen and many thanks for all the support!

=>Here<=  you will find the complete results of the Scotties illustrated with a lot of pictures.

Terrier show OG Ratingen, 27.02.2005

We have a new KFT Jugend Champion:

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession

Olivia has won the youth class and also went  best female!

Her results until now: 4 x shown, 4 x V1 with Jgd. CAC, 2 x best female, 2 x best of breed and additionally 1 x best youth in show!

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot

(Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten, NL)

Magic was the highlight of the weekend: He went best of breed and best low legged Terrier!

Many thanks to Katrin Grochau who perfectly handled Magic in the competition for best of breed and to Nicole Meissner who always had a helping hand.

The Scottie results and further pictures are to find =>here<=.

By the way: Just after the judging I have found out why the name of the judge, Mrs. Marja Talvitie from Finland, souded a bit familiar to me. On the worldwinner in Brussels (B) 1995 she was judging the Scottie males.

That time Sir Darnley's Hearts Horizon went V2 in an open class of 15 dogs. He also gained the Res. CACIB and was Vice Worldwinner.

On the same day Ch. Sir Darnley's Gretna Green won the open class of 34(!) bitches judged by Mr. Kurt Radnetter (A). She also gained the Res. CACIB and went Vice World Winner.

This was a long time ago!

23.02.2005

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession

Finally also our Olivia got her own chapter within the chapter "my Scotties". Please click on the name above. Alternatively you will find her in "The Sir Darnley's" and then "my Scotties".

Until now Olivia has only been shown twice in youth class. In Aachen she went best opposite sex and in Münster she gained her first best of breed and also was best youth in show.

A very promising start!

Comming weekend we are - together with Olivia - to find on the double show of the local Terrier groups Mettman and Ratingen. On Saturday 15 Scotties are entered, on Sunday there are 13 Scotties expected in the show ring. Both shows will be held in "Bürgerhaus Haan-Gruiten".

14.02.2005

Today there is a new picture from

Sir Darnley's Olyv Original Odds

just after trimming. In real life she is called "Anka". Together with Westie "Wuschel" and her owners she is living  not far from here.

Anka is a litter sister to our Orla and Olivia.

12.02.2005

Again we had a visitor out of our Scottie family.

left: KFT Jgd. Ch. Sir Darnley's Killilan Kilian "Gary", Owner: W. Feckes.

right: his sister and at the age of nearly 8 years now our oldie Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie

Gary is living not far from us in Willich-Anrath, together with his scottie friend Scotguard Duncan and their owners, family Feckes.

08.02.2005

Sir Darnley's Native Nugget "Esprit" has gained Res. CAC and Res. CACIB on the International show in Eindhoven (NL).

Congratulation to her owner Gerda van Stuivenberg in Holland!

Here Esprit is shown during her spare time job, approved protected of course!

31.01.2005

Amaizing start into the new show season:

Terrier show OG Velbert, 30.01.2005

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

wins the youth ticket and therefor is our new KFT Jugend Champion. Already for the 3rd. time she is best of breed!

In the big ring she is 2nd. low legged Terrier!

Rainer and I are very proud of our youngest Princess!

Orla's Gallery has been updated as well.

Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson

wins the dogs CAC and also is best male.

Congratulations to his owner Helma van Wieringen from the Netherlands.

Of course also this year there always are the complete Scottie results to be found on my site, possibly provided with acceptable pictures.

The hit rate shows that many visitors are longing for these news so I hurry up where I can.

=>Here<= are the Scottie results from Velbert.

28.01.2005

Yes, we also have a little bit snow here in the lowland! As proof here are some pictures from a walk of the whole Scottie family:

Now there are only 4 left. From left to right: Nosy Nellie, Orla Online Oasis, Magical Mascot and Kiss-Curl Kylie.
Magic is watching something interesting - while Nellie prefers ...

... to hunt mice with sister Orla and mother Kylie.

Later on all together are going on tour around the field ... ... in the end they are coming back as little snowmen! Left: Orla, right: Nellie.

For us the new show season will start next Sunday, 30.01.2005. At the Terrier show in Haan-Gruiten an entry of 20 Scotties is waiting to be judged by Mrs. Eva Vogel.

24.01.2005

Sir Darnley's Kilted Kate 25.04.1997 - 22.01.2005

Again we have lost a battle - and a real bitter one!

In November 2004 we took Kate into care from her owners. She had a hard inflammation of the underjaw and already problems with the bladder but these were not taken very seriously by the Vets.

After the 2nd. surgery the jaw were alright and now Kate revived. She barked and "talked" like her sister Kylie and enjoyed her new life - without pain!

But just one week later Kate got more bladder trouble and we had to found out that she had a malignancy in the ureter. Surgery and chemo therapy would have only caused more pain but no quality of life. So - with a very heavy heart - we had to decide to let her go over the rainbowbridge.

We are very, very sad that after all we have lost her. We truly would have loved to give Kate the pleasure of some really nice years.

This brave Scottie girl will always stay in our hearts.

Kate on 16.01.05, the day after the 2nd. surgery

Kate 20.01.05, still happy

7 Sir Darnley's on one bench!

This picture was taken between Christmas and new year when Leroy and Olivia visited us.

from left to right:

Ch. Kiss-Curl Kylie, Kilted Kate, Liquorice Leroy (Owner: Gaby Matheisen), Ch. Magical Mascot (Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten), J. Ch. Nosy Nellie, Olivia Offbeat Obsession und Orla Online Oasis.

Kate is here into care at the moment. Some friends have already met her and will surely be happy to hear very good news: Today Kate survived hopefully her last sugery at the jaws. She has lost 5 teeth and both underjaws are now closed! Many thanks to Vet and tooth specialist Dr. Jochen Krüger from Krefeld!

08.01.2005

Happy new year and best wishes to all friends and visitors for 2005 from the Sir Darnley's Scottish Terriers!

I am looking forward to the first big challenge for me in 2005: I have now started my own business. My trimming studio is called "Dog Styling" and is specialised for low legged Terrier breeds!

An own homepage will be online soon.

But before we start into the new year I would like to review our remarkable year 2004:

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis on 05.12.04: Best Junior in show of all breed on the show CACIB Kassel

27.12.2004

We hope all our visitors and friends have had  contemplative Christmas.

Many thanks for all the lovely greetings we received!

Soon I will go on tour "through the guest books" - I promise!

As usual we have celebrated in a very nice ambiance in Rainer's and my familiy.

22.12.2004

Sir Darnley's Native Nugget "Esprit"

On 20.12.04 Esprit won her first CACIB on the international show in Wijchen (NL) and went best opposite sex!

Congratulations to her owner Gerda van Stuivenberg from kennel "from Dash Mountain Farm's"  in the Netherlands. Well done!

That was the last show of this season. Between christmas and new year here will be published the summary of our results. But there will not be a long break. Many shows and judges have already been collected in the new show calendar 2005.

Within "my Scotties" Gretna's Gallery has also been updated.

In the meantime of course the opening of my trimming studio "Dog Styling" in the beginning of January is also being prepared.

And then there is our newest problem child Kate, who is a litter sister to my Kylie. At the moment Kate is here with us "for nursery" and she could need every crossed fingers she could get hold of! Hopefully I can tell her whole story here soon .

12.12.2004

As anounced earlier here are more pictures from Laura (Sir Darnley's Limelight Laura) and her family who have spent their holidays in Croatia.

Maybe also other owners will send some pictures from their Sir Darnley's?

Go on, I would be very pleased!

=>Here<= you will find Laura's pictures.

05.12.2004

International dogshow Kassel, 04. - 05.12.2004

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

It seemed as Orla really wanted to do her best for her grandma Gretna: She moved and moved and moved and convinced the judges!

First under Mrs. Frau Irmgard Vogt she went best of breed. Then Mrs. Martha Heine picked her for best Terrier youth and 2nd in Terrier group (adult). In the end Mr. Dr. Wilfried Peper elected Orla for  best youth of the day!

Until now this is her biggest success and we hope for many crossed fingers for the todays competition for best youth in show who get's the title "Youthwinner Kassel"!

This time there wasn't a very high entry. Just 9 Scotties were shown and more of Gretna's grandchildren were successful:

Sir Darnley's Noble Nicolson (Owner: Helma van Wieringen, NL) won the CACIB and went bester Rüde.

Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie won the female CACIB.

=>Here<= are the complete Scottie results with further pictures, mostly from the big ring.

STOP PRESS! STOP PRESS!

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

Youth Winner Kassel 2004

On our 2nd. visite at the show in Kassel Orla won the competition for  best Youth in show (all breeds)!

This was judged by the president of the VDH (German Kennel Klub), Mr. Uwe Fischer.

We are so proud of our princess - and her grandma would be as well!

Here we have lent the background from  "Roberto-Photo". Unfortunately it is not sharp at all. The official picture will be added later.

03.12.2004

Now there are very, very sad news:

Multi Ch. Sir Darnley's Gretna Green

21.07.1992 - 02.12.2004

Yesterday we had to say good bye to our beloved Gretna and let her go over the rainbowbridge.

It is a big present that we were allowed to live with this wonderful dog for 12 1/2 years and it is a mercy that she didn't had to suffer much.

Until last week she still was totally fit, so her sudden death really was unexpeted.

We are endlessly sad and at the same time thankful that she will live on in her children and grandchildren.

She was such a great Scottie!

She will never be forgotten!

Veli-Pekka Kumpumäki from Kennel Perhaps (Westies and Scotties) from Finland had to judge 18 Scotties.

Sir Darnley's Olivia Offbeat Obsession went best of breed and in the big ring also best youth in show and 4th. in Show!

The judge report: "Beautiful bitch, exellent proportions. Lovely in profile. Beautiful head, well angulated. Deep and wide. Coat in tip-top condition. Good mover. I'd like to take her home."

Her older brother Ch. Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot (Owner: Marianne Roos-Otten) went best male!

Summary out of the judge report: "Very eye-catching dog, with beautiful movements and lovely temperament..."

right: Ch. Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot

Congratulations also to Katrin Grochau who went best junior handler in show with Sir Darnley's Nifty Nessie

The complete Scottie results with some more pictures also from junior handling are to find =>here<=.

With this success 6 out of a total of 12 progeny from Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie went best of breed - at least. They are:

Ch. Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer

Ch. Sir Darnley`s Magical Mascot

Jgd. Ch. Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie

23.11.2004

At the moment it is quite busy at the Sir Darnley's! Therefor my homepage is far behind. We are on many shows and at the same time I have to prepare the start of my own grooming business in January.

And here are the results of the shows we have visited in the meantime:

Eurodogshow in Kortrijk (B), 14.11.2004

Quite a rarity: Judge Jorge Nallem came from Uruguay!

Ch. Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer (left) and Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie both gained the Res. CACIB, Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis was best youth in breed.

Special thanks go to the Belgium Scottish Terrier Club for the lovely care of all exhibitors.

=>Here<= are the complete Scottie result, together with some more pictures. But - sorry - not very good ones.

Scottie Special in Meckenheim (near Bonn), 21.11.2004

With Mrs. Avril Herd from Feregait Kennels, Scotland, the organisors of the show have invited a real breed specialist for the German highlight of the Scottish Terriers. As a result 58 Scotties entered the ring.

Best of breed went to

Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie

at the age of more than 7 years and after having born 3 litters!

The judge report: "Quality bitch, very much to breed standard, lovely front, great bone, tail on top, good straight coat, moves with enthusiasm."

In the big ring Kylie was among the best 3 low legged Terriers.

Kylie also presents the next German Champion in her offspring:

Sir Darnley's Magical Mascot won the open class and gained the Res. CAC, which will be upgraded.

Congratulations to his owner, Marianne Roos-Otten (Gulabin's) from the Netherlands!

Overall Kylie's offspring was very successful:

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis won the big Youth class and also was among the 4 best Youth in show.

The three brindles: Mylord Mortimer, Magical Mascot and Orla Online Oasis also were best group in show, a.s.o.

The complete Scottie results are to find  =>here<=

Special thanks for all their help go to Helma van Wieringen, Rolf Conrads, Gerda and Bert van  Stuivenberg, Katrin Grochau, Sascha Breuer, Nicole Meissner and not at last to Rainer who looked after Kate. Without you this success would not have been possible!

left: Mother Ch. Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie, best of breed

right: Daughter Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis, V1, Jgd. CAC

After the show the annual breeders meeting was held. We are very happy and congratulate Bärbel Bruweleit  (Downtown) to her reelection as the breeds represetative of the German Terrier Club!

07.11.2004

31.10.2004

International show in Utrecht NL

We proudly present:

Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer

4 x shown in Netherland, 4 x CAC + CACIB, 4 x BOB = Dutch Champion!!!

Congratulation to his owners Helma van Wieringen and Rolf Conrads!

Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie

Nellie is on the same way. She gained the same result as in Maastricht: CAC, CACIB, best opposite sex!

Of course we are also very proud for our little princess!

=>Here<= are the complete Scottie results with more pictures.

26.10.2004

Unfortunately there is not much time for internet and homepage at the moment. So today there are just some pictures from the last weekend when Nellie accompanied us to the horses.

Of course she is more interested in our "tigers" Maunzi and Felix than in the big 4-legged!

16.10.2004

No, this year we have not visited the "Bundessiegerschau" in Dortmund. ;-)

But you can already find the Scottie results. Visite the  =>Stromness<=  page.

14.10.04

The show season 2004 is not yet finished but as there are already many dates published for 2005 I have updated the show calendar

Have fun with planning.

10.10.2004

As we will visite our next dog shows not before the end of Oktober, I am running out of pictures.

And to show that our Scotties also live a normal pet live, I took my digicam to our walk in the field this morning. Here is the result:

Nellie always is "the leader of the pack"!
Nellie hunting mouses

Magic always has a lot of speed. In the beginning we only saw him from the backside - now he is always comming back!
Brother and sister: Magic and Orla
Orla is interested in everything - and in the end she exhausted.

30.09.2004

Finally - the Links have been updated and extended! In the meantime the llist is quite large even though it is not yet complete.

A special warm welcome to the  Westies "vom Märchengarten" in the net!

For the first time I met the Flamangs on my first Terrier show in March  1984. The outcome of this is a very special friendship.

1991 the Sir Darnley's visited the Märchengärtner during their holidays in Oostkapelle (NL)

25.09.2004

International show Maastricht (NL)

Again we were on tour successfully:

Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie

On her first international show Nellie won the CACIB and also went best opposite sex.

Well done little girl!

Ch. Sir Darnley's Mylord Mortimer

Nellie's bruther also was on top again: Mortimer also got the CACIB and went best of breed!

Congratulations to his proud owner Helma van Wieringen.

=>Here<= are the complete Scottie-results.

20.09.2004

Last weekend we decided better not to go on the show as our Orla is in season at the moment.

In order to distract Magic from this attractiv fragrance we took him with us to the horses. He always enjoys to be on the farm but of course is dissabpointed that he is not allowed to hunt cats and fowls. But on Djurre's back Magic is feeling quite comfortable.

15.09.2004

Sir Darnley's Hopeful Hazel  and Yvette Sacre from Brussels (B) were here!

As a puppy Hazel (V: Ch. Respect Engineer, M: Ch. Sir Darnley's Busy Buzzy) survived a hard parvo virus infection. Because of all the medicine she had received that time, I would have never thought that she could reach a "normal" age. Now Hazel has liver cancer which is treated completely homeopathic.

Last year when her companion Chip died (Sir Darnley's Countdown Chip, V: Ch. Pendlehill Magnus, M: Sir Darnley's Bumble Bee), she really lost condition. But now she recovered nicely to a hardheaded but first of all happy lady - at the age of nearly 12 years.

This mainly is due to her owner Yvette Sacre. She adores Hazel and Chip and looked after them perfectly!

Thank you sooo much Yvette!!!

It is hight time for a new "News-page"!

In the meantime the previous page became much too big. It took too long time to load. But of course those stories are not lost. Just click on the link "older news ..." to get there.

Furthermore several files have been updated:

The show calendar has been refreshed

Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie

Nellie's page among "my Scotties" has been completed - in the end she has grew up inbetween!. So her titles and some pictures were fit in.

Sir Darnley's Orla Online Oasis

Also most overdue: Our youngest starlet got her own page within "my Scotties".
